Plentiful Harvest Farms is an innovative agricultural enterprise showcasing modern approaches to crop production. The Farm officially opened in May 2024, and produces high quality lettuce varieties such as romaine, butterhead and green and red oak leaf lettuce. By utilising the hydroponic greenhouse method, these are produced year-round. Plentiful Harvest’s operates from an elevated greenhouse located at approximately 1, 800 above sea level. The greenhouse is equipped with a retractable roofing system and cooling curtain which protect produce from adverse weather without compromising the climate conditions needed for growth. The operation provides participants with an opportunity to explore contemporary farming practices and observe how technology and improved production techniques can support more consistent, efficient and commercially viable agricultural production.

Walkerswood Caribbean Foods is a leading Jamaican agro-processing enterprise renowned for its authentic Jamaican flavours and value-added food products, including its world famous Jerk Seasoning. The Walkerswood Caribbean Foods Factory is a growing supplier of over 20 innovative and traditional products producing its popular Jerk BBQ Sauce, Jonkanoo Hot Pepper sauce as well as Ackee for Jamaica’s National dish. The tour will provide insight into how locally sourced agricultural commodities can be converted into branded products with commercial and export potential.

The Jamaica Centre for Tourism Innovation (JCTI), in collaboration with the Tourism Linkages Network (TLN) under the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF), is facilitating an Artisan Village Familiarization and Experiential Tourism Experience for delegates attending Caribbean Week of Agriculture.

The experience will introduce regional stakeholders to the Artisan Village in Falmouth, highlighting Jamaica's cultural heritage, local artisans, Jamaican-made products, gastronomy and the important connections between agriculture and tourism.

The Artisan Village & Its Role in Tourism

The Artisan Village provides a platform for showcasing Jamaica's creative and cultural heritage while creating opportunities for local artisans and manufacturers to connect with the tourism industry.

For CWA delegates, the experience provides an opportunity to explore how agriculture, food, culture, manufacturing and tourism can intersect to create authentic visitor experiences and strengthen local economic linkages.

Through firsthand exposure to the Village, delegates will gain insight into its potential as a cultural and experiential tourism attraction, while discovering locally produced products and experiences that can support stronger connections between agriculture and the tourism value chain.

Participants will select one of three signature experiences:

• Body Glow - A hands-on botanical body care experience introducing visitors to the fundamentals of natural body care.
• Gastronomy - An interactive culinary experience centred on one of Jamaica’s most iconic flavours — Jerk.
• Rum Tasting & Pairing - A guided tasting experience celebrating the craftsmanship and heritage of Jamaican rum
